Sweet, sweet babies

So this time of year, we see a lot of babies. The senior and family sessions tend to prefer the outdoors, and who can blame them. But the warm studio is just perfect for babies. I love this time of year because it allows me to slow down a little bit and come up with some new creative ideas for my clients. We try to “update” the studio by adding new props, backgrounds, etc.

Photographing babies, to me, is so fun and each session is different. You may be working with a sleeper that just allows you to bend and move how you please, or well, just the opposite. I love not knowing what your final art piece will look like. Thanks to all my clients for allowing me the pleasure of handling your little masterpieces.

I just had so much fun on this senior session. We planned it out well and I think captured just what we were looking for. Rachel, you are such an amazing person! It was truly a pleasure taking your portraits. Good luck with the rest of your school year!

Beautiful girl, Beautiful personality!

Mr & Mrs Church Part II

Here’s part II of the Mannan/Church Wedding. We cracked up at this groomsman all day, such a character. Really, the entire wedding party was a lot of fun. Its so great to work with people that you can share a laugh with.

The bride chose not to see her husband or father until it was time to walk down the aisle. This is the first wedding I have photographed where the father was surprised too. The emotions shared were priceless.

Congratulations to you both. We wish much joy and laughter as you share your new life together! Thank you for the honor of sharing your special day. More coming soon!

Hollis Wedding from September 2011. Through all the rain, it still turned out to be a great wedding! When the bride asked me what they should do, have the wedding inside or just give it a try outside, I relayed the groom’s response of, ” I don’t care where we get married, whatever she wants. I just want to marry her.” The look on Ashley’s face was priceless. There was so much love and support at this wedding and I wish you many years of the same feelings. Thank you Erich and Ashley for allowing us to share in your day!

Congratulations Kristine & Zachary!

I had the pleasure of photographing Kristine’s wedding on August 13th! I had a great time with them and my son was the cutest ring bearer I have ever seen. Here’s a peak:

Field Days

I think this was my favorite mini session event we’ve done thus far. Arley and I set up an antique bed in front of the flower fields last week and did some fun “dreamy” sessions. The lighting was simply spectacular! I can’t wait to do it again. Here is a peek of some we have finished. Thank You to everyone that participated! It was a lot of fun!

Down on the Farm

After having to reschedule due to rain, we ended up with some really fun portraits for our”Down on the Farm Days”. I’m so glad we were still able to accomodate to everyone’s schedules. This farm belongs to my in-laws. It was established in the early 1900′s and is one of my favorite places to shoot, in fact, i photograph my children here every year in the fall.  The old barns and rusty tractors may seem an eye-sore to some, but I think it makes the most intersting photos. Hope you enjoy. Thank you guys for allowing me to once again capture your beautiful children!  Here is a sample of one of the sessions:
